PLPAK for academics


The PLPAK is a rigorous structural analysis software that has an interactive interface, BIM (Building Information Model) design and capabilities of real geometry modeling. These capabilities of the PLPAK present it as a useful tool for academics to demonstrate the simple structural analysis applications to students.
This page has some examples that may be useful to present the simple structural engineering applications to students in an interactive approach.

 Beams: Negative moments in simple beams

This example is provided to demonstrate the code provisions for top reinforcement above supports in simple spans. The model presented herein proves that there is a small value for negative moment that appears above the support even in the case of simple supports.

Slabs:Flat slab

This example is provided to demonstrate the stress flow in flat slabs. A square flat slab is modeled, bending moments and stress flow diagrams are presented. The example proves the radial stress flow in the case of flat slabs.

This example is provided to demonstrate the stress flow in one way slabs. A square one way slab is modeled, bending moments and stress flow diagrams are presented. The example proves the uni-directional stress flow in the case of flat slabs.
